Our Process
A Step-by-Step Guide to Your Personalised Care
At Medical Advisor 4 U, we believe in making the journey to better health as simple and transparent as possible. Our process is designed to provide you with expert guidance while ensuring every step is clear and tailored to your needs. Here’s how it works.
Booking Your Appointment
Your journey starts by sending a booking request via our website or by giving us a call. Once we receive your request, we’ll send you a Client Intake Form to complete your personal details and process a £10 deposit (deducted from your final invoice).
Sharing Your Medical Details
Next, you’ll complete the Medical Details Form, where you can share your concerns, doubts, and any relevant clinical letters or investigation reports. If you don’t have access to your medical records, we can retrieve them for you by acting as your proxy. In this case, we’ll provide an authorisation document for you to sign and return.
Note: Retrieving medical records typically takes 4-6 weeks, depending on third parties, and we cannot guarantee completion.
Review and Preparation
Our Consultant Physician will carefully review your clinical information over the following days, preparing a detailed and comprehensive medical opinion about your health. In some cases, we may contact you to request additional information to ensure our assessment is thorough.
Note: In rare situations, if there isn’t sufficient information to provide a conclusive opinion, we’ll reach out to discuss the best way forward.
Your Appointment
Optional Follow-Up Services
Following your appointment, we’ll send you a Follow-Up Form where you can provide feedback on your consultation and request optional additional services, such as:
- A comprehensive report summarising the meeting.
- A clinical letter to your GP or other doctors with our medical opinion.
- Booking additional follow-up consultations with our Consultant Physician.
Final Invoice and Satisfaction Survey
After your services are completed, we’ll issue your final invoice, along with a Satisfaction Survey to help us continuously improve. Your feedback is invaluable in ensuring we provide the highest quality care.
Notes:
-
Acting on Behalf of Someone Else
If you’re making a request for another person, we’ll need written proof of their consent or a copy of a valid Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) before proceeding.
-
Medical Record Retrieval
If you’d like us to retrieve your records, you’ll need to complete and sign an authorisation document. Please note that while we strive to retrieve records promptly, the process depends on third parties.
-
Exceptional Cases
In rare situations where insufficient medical information is available, we’ll discuss the next steps with you to determine how to proceed.
